College...It Can Work for You Workshop

Who: Women who want to go back to college or begin college for the first time.
Cost: FREE!
The workshop begins with a continental breakfast and continues with workshop sessions on financial aid and work/school/home balance. There will also be representatives present from TRiO, Motivation, Education and Training, Inc., Veterans Services, ND Vocational Rehabilitation, Minnesota Concentrated Employment Program, and North Dakota Job Services. Admissions Representatives from Rasmussen College, Concordia College, Minnesota State Community and Technical College, Minnesota State University Moorhead, North Dakota State University, and the University of Mary will also be available to answer questions.

Annual Used Book Sale

We welcome your used books and appreciate your patronage.
The Used Book Sale is conducted annually; proceeds support the Educational Foundation, the Grace Hudson Memorial Scholarship, and the Dorothy Dodds Scholarship Fund. The F-M Branch begins collecting books approximately 10 days before the sale.

- September 16-Thursday 12:15: Plains Art Museum Lunch at Plains followed by a tour of the exhibit, The White Album: The Beatles Meet the Plains.
- October 19-Tuesday 5pm: Meet at Thai Orchid, Moorhead Center Mall for dinner at 5pm followed by The Saint John's Bible exhibit at the Hjemkomst Center
- November 14-Sunday 2pm: MSUM Planetarium Show. 11th St and 8thAve S, Mhd followed by coffee and dessert at John Alexanders. Space Dreams: Man's Eternal Quest—Learn about Native American star stories, Greek ideas of space travel as well as the present realities and future hopes of our eternal quest for the stars.
- December 4-Saturday 2pm: Comstock House, 8th Street in Moorhead and dessert at Nicole’s Bakery. Enjoy a holiday tour of this historic Victorian-era house followed by dessert at Nicole’s Fine Bakery .
The AAUW Education Foundation
Mission: The AAUW Educational Foundation provides funds to advance education, research, and self-development for women and to foster equity and positive societal change.
AAUW Educational Foundation awards $4 million annually in grants for research projects and fellowships for graduate students and faculty. It is the world's largest source of funding exclusively for graduate women. AAUW also funds research on women, girls, and education.

The Legal Advocacy Fund
Mission: The AAUW Legal Advocacy Fund provides funding and a support system for individuals seeking judicial redress for sex discrimination.
Since 1981, AAUW Legal Advocacy Fund has helped students, faculty, staff, and administrators in higher education challenge discriminatory practices such as sexual harassment, denial of tenure or promotion, pay inequity, and inequality in women's athletics programs.
AAUW Legal Advocacy Fund, a program of AAUW Educational Foundation, is the nation's largest legal fund focused solely on sex discrimination in higher education.
